This lovely is featured on my website and business cards. My sister stumbled upon it when going for a walk a few years ago. She agreed to let me use it.
Note: the body is missing.
I have a creepy doll in my novel - also with one drooping eyelid (body attached). The novel I'm
working on how also has a doll, but moving eyelids may not have been available for the setting of this novel (1880s). Still, the picture is perfect.
Both of my novels are inspired by ancestors.
This is a picture of an ancestor (not sure who exactly) having a bad day, hanging out with her doll.
I'm starting a new blog today, and creepy doll heads seemed like a good place to start. My previous blog was tonjasmusings.blogspot.com, which has been dormant for a while. I will be posting here about research I'm doing for my new novel. First topic: the history of dolls.
I'm looking forward to reading your upcoming novel. Let us know when it's coming out here or on Twitter.
